Ellen Roos was born in 1926 in Indonesia.
She studied
at the Academy of Fine Arts in Amsterdam from 1951 - 1955.
Her scultures are displayed around the world including in the UK. Israel, India and Holland.
Ellen has been a meditator with the
Brahma Kumaris for over 25 years.

GOING BEyOND is a series of scuptures and paintings which don't have peoples' physical appearance as a starting point. Instead, they show what animates a person. From there, the form automatically emerges.

Many of the scuptures have wings: they can easily lift off from the ground and go beyond gravity. The artist invites you to experiment with going beyond the limitations of matter, and explore the beauty of your own essence and eternity. 'In fact it has to do with my desire to rise beyond death, searching for my essence, my eternal being, the soul.'
